Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for our team in Tacoma, Washington. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, accurate with transactional work, and comfortable managing both payables and receivables in a deadline-driven setting. The position plays an important part in keeping records current, supporting inventory-related accounting activity, and helping maintain reliable financial information across the business.

Responsibilities:
• Manage vendor billing by reviewing invoices, assigning proper coding, and processing payments within established timelines.
• Create and process purchase orders as needed to support operational and accounting activities.
• Record and verify raw material usage data, ensuring inventory-related transactions are accurate and up to date.
• Partner with plant and operations staff to review production reporting and resolve reconciliation issues.
• Set up and maintain work-in-process and finished goods records within the accounting system.
• Reconcile employee expense submissions and company credit card activity on a monthly basis.
• Prepare customer invoices, apply credit adjustments when appropriate, and issue account statements regularly.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, communicate with customers regarding past-due balances, and help resolve account discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical finance role.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice handling, and account reconciliation.
• Strong data entry accuracy and close attention to detail when maintaining financial records.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and solid Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to organize multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Experience supporting accounting functions in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar operational setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access is a plus.

Compensation

$65,000.00-$75,000.00 Yearly
