Staff Accountant

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity with one of our clients. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Analyze variances and research discrepancies
• Assist with financial reporting and account analysis
• Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
• Collaborate with accounting and cross-functional teams on special projects

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as Microsoft D365, Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or Workday
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Experience supporting month-end close
