Position Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible to oversee company compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Responsible to perform investigations related to regulatory non-compliance to assist in establishing root cause, identify improvement opportunities, and identifying comprehensive fixes that will mitigate reoccurrence.
- Responsible to coordinate and track all regulatory noncompliance to include the FAA /TSA formal Letter of Investigation (LOI), and/or other legal actions from other regulatory bodies on a company wide basis.
- Act as the company central point of contact for the FAA Requests for Information (RFI) on FAA occurrences.
- Conduct research for all RFIs and provide responses to the FAA in a timely manner.
- Act as a liaison between the Company and the FAA to investigate, identify and correct any safety issues to ensure full FAA compliance.
- Coordinate with company 119 personnel to coordinate an effective/timely response.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to formulate responses to Letters of Investigations (LOIs), Voluntary Self Disclosures (VSDs), Compliance Action and general correspondence requests.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with leadership for the development of resolutions to letter of investigation, voluntary self-disclosures, and other regulatory matters.
- Prepare written reports and presentations for the purpose of sharing facts gathered in an investigation.
- Assign and monitor regulatory corrective actions through the tracking and management of regulatory commitments.
- Create and maintain company dashboards on company noncompliance.
- Input and provide guidance to the Maintenance Quality Assurance (QA) program to help develop a risk-based auditing program.
- Interface with the company Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) on regulatory noncompliance.
- Oversee the coordination between the company and regulatory authorities.
- Oversee the completion of applicable Root Cause Analysis on noncompliance events.
- Responsible to document SAGs in the company SMS.
- Generate and present safety data and make recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare and distribute reports to federal, state, and local safety authorities as required.
- Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders regarding PSA policy and applicable regulatory guidance.
- Responsible to establish and maintain an effective working relations with the FAA and any regulatory agency.
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least five years progressive experience in any combination of the following areas required: aircraft maintenance, regulatory compliance or auditing required.
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
- Experience with writing reports/technical writing required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent writing/communication skills.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
- A two- or four-year degree in Aviation Safety or Business field.
- The Regulatory Manager should have extensive operational experience and professional qualifications in aviation.
- Previous knowledge and understanding of Regulatory Compliance.

Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisory position.
Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Managing Director of Safety and Regulatory Compliance.
