FP&A Manager
Our client is growing and looking for an interim FP& A Manager to join their commercial roofing and building organization in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is ideal for a finance specialist who can step into a broad planning and analysis function, manage recurring reporting, and deliver clear insights that support business decisions. The position is primarily onsite, with four days in the office and one remote day each week, and offers the opportunity to work across forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support short-term and ongoing business needs.
• Prepare and distribute recurring reports covering travel and expense activity, sales performance, and operational volume trends.
• Analyze actual results against forecasts and prior periods, identifying key drivers behind financial variances.
• Consolidate trial balance information in Excel and organize data into usable reporting formats for leadership review.
• Build, maintain, and replicate reporting files with a high degree of accuracy and ownership.
• Work across multiple data sources, including D365 and spreadsheet-based reports, to produce dependable financial analysis.
• Translate large data sets into practical insights using tools such as pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Operate independently in a fast-moving environment with limited oversight while maintaining consistent reporting output.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, reporting, and variance review.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and analysis of large data sets.
• Experience working with D365 in a finance or reporting environment is mandatory.
• Ability to manage recurring manual reporting processes with strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated success taking ownership of work, solving problems independently, and delivering results with minimal direction.
• Background in consolidating financial data and preparing trial balance-based reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial performance clearly and accurately.
• Experience in wholesale or construction-related industries is a plus.
Compensation
