Litigation Paralegal

Robert Half is partnering with a respected law firm in Morristown, New Jersey, to identify a skilled Litigation Paralegal for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role will begin as a 3–6-month contract with strong potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs.

The ideal candidate will bring 2+ years of litigation experience, including hands-on involvement in document organization and production, deposition transcript summarization, and preparation of document indexes and chronologies. Familiarity with New Jersey state and federal court rules and filing procedures is required. Experience in Labor & Employment law and a Paralegal Certificate are preferred but not required.

Additional Details

• Pay: $30-$40/hour (DOE)
• Contract Duration: 3–6 months with extension potential
• Schedule: 5 days onsite
• Location: Morristown, NJ (free parking provided)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and organize a high volume of litigation matters, with strong attention to detail
• Oversee document organization and production, including large-scale case files
• Prepare document indexes and case chronologies using Excel or similar tools
• Summarize deposition transcripts and support case strategy preparation
• Maintain calendars for deadlines, court dates, and key litigation milestones
• File documents with New Jersey state and federal courts
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and external stakeholders
• Provide general administrative and litigation support as needed

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience
• Familiarity with NJ state and federal court filing rules and procedures
• Paralegal Certificate preferred
• Experience with Labor & Employment litigation is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
