Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will handle transactional accounting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. The position is hybrid after training and offers strong benefits, including a parking lease.
Responsibilities:
• Manage transactional accounting tasks for a designated portfolio of properties.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation.
• Handle corporate tax filings and sales tax reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with property management teams to provide financial insights and support.
• Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review.
• Ensure timely completion of all accounting tasks while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within property management.
• Proficiency in corporate tax filings and sales tax preparation.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Familiarity with accounting software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and generate detailed reports.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Compensation
