Accounting Analyst

Robert Half is partnering with a client out of the banking industry for a remote GL Mapping project. Great opportunity to prove yourself for a growing organization that has potential for repeat contracts/extensions.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and align general ledger structures to ensure accurate mapping between accounting frameworks and reporting categories.

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain the integrity of financial records.

• Review financial transactions related to lending, repossession activity, and deposit accounts to confirm proper accounting treatment.

• Partner with accounting and finance stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve the consistency of ledger reporting.

Qualifications:

• Must have previous staff / senior accounting experience at a banking institution.

• Knowledge of general ledger reconciliation and account mapping practices.

• Familiarity with accounting considerations tied to loans, repossessions, and deposit products.

• Advanced Excel - Pivot Tables and VLookups.

• Financial Statement understanding - balance sheets specifically
