Buyer Planner
We are looking for a Buyer Planner to support procurement and supply chain activities in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. This position focuses on aligning purchasing decisions with operational demand, maintaining organized requisition workflows, and helping ensure materials are available when needed. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, a solid understanding of procurement practices, and the ability to translate business needs into effective purchasing plans. Due to the nature of the work and onsite requirements, preference will be given to Hawaii residents. Applicants should be able to reliably commute or reside within the region to meet business needs. Responsibilities:
• Evaluate material and supply needs by reviewing demand patterns, business priorities, and inventory requirements to support timely purchasing decisions.
• Create and manage purchase requisitions and related procurement documentation with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to clarify product, quantity, and timing needs so purchasing activity reflects actual operational requirements.
• Combine requests across teams or categories to improve buying efficiency, reduce duplication, and support more effective demand planning.
• Monitor supply chain activity and supplier performance to help maintain continuity of materials and services.
• Support forecasting efforts by analyzing historical usage, current needs, and anticipated demand to guide purchasing plans.
• Participate in contract and vendor discussions to help secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery expectations.
• Use ERP and procurement systems, including Dynamics NAV, to track orders, maintain records, and support planning accuracy.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement, buying, planning, or a related supply chain role.• Practical knowledge of corporate purchasing processes, requisition management, and supply chain operations.
• Experience supporting demand planning, forecasting, or material planning in a business environment.
• Familiarity with supplier coordination, purchasing activities, and contract negotiation support.
• Proficiency with ERP platforms, including experience working with Dynamics NAV or similar systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
• Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and understanding operational needs.
Compensation
