Attorney/Lawyer
A growing law firm in Pasadena is looking to add an attorney to this stable, established group. This boutique practice specializes in employment litigation, offering a collaborative and supportive environment for career development. The firm values quality over quantity, fostering strong relationships within both the plaintiff and defense communities.
Responsibilities:
• Handle discovery processes, including conducting and defending depositions.
• Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients during court appearances and hearings.
• Manage cases with autonomy based on experience level, ranging from smaller matters to high-value litigation.
• Track billable hours with a minimum requirement of 1500 annually.
• Collaborate with colleagues during weekly team meetings and through digital communication platforms.
• Contribute to high-quality client service in both single-plaintiff and class action cases.
• Maintain a detail-oriented approach and uphold the firm's reputation in the legal community.
• Participate in firm-sponsored activities, such as team lunches and discussions.
• Work on employment law matters, including California labor law cases.
Qualifications:
• Must hold a valid license to practice law in California.• At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation or employment law.
• Strong skills in conducting depositions and making court appearances.
• Proven ability to draft motions, briefs, and pleadings effectively.
• Familiarity with employment litigation and California labor law.
• Experience in class action litigation is highly preferred.
• Strong interest in plaintiff work, particularly for candidates transitioning from defense.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Compensation
