Staff Accountant
Come join a premier private Club in Houston as a Staff Accountant.
Financial Accounting & Reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and financial reporting for leadership
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
• Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and timely payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Accounts Receivable & Membership Accounting
• Assist with membership billing, collections, and account reconciliations
• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with delinquency follow-up
Payroll & Benefits Administration
• Assist with payroll processing and maintain payroll records
• Manage benefit deductions and perform benefit-related reconciliations
Budgeting & Financial Planning
• Assist with annual budget preparation
• Provide financial reporting to support management decision-making
Compliance & Documentation
• Prepare documentation for audits and tax filings
Additional Responsibilities
• Assist the Business Manager with special financial projects
• Support improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
Qualifications:
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 2+ years of month-end close experience, journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll. Financial statements are made by the Bus Manager.
- Good communication, polished, will interact with members etc.
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Compensation
