Legacy Silverton Medical Center serves the heart of the Willamette Valley with a wide mix of services, many not typically available in a community hospital: CT scan (computerized tomography), nuclear medicine, echocardiography, family birth center and much more



Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the healthcare team to deliver quality, customer-focused care.

  • Provide general clerical and receptionist support to a nursing unit or other clinical area.

  • Answer phones, relay messages to patients and staff, and facilitate communication within the unit.

  • Order and maintain unit supplies to support patient care activities.

  • Assist nursing and medical staff with clerical tasks that contribute to efficient and effective patient care.

  • Demonstrate critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Maintain strong customer service and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Contribute to a positive patient experience and collaborative work environment.



Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Six months Unit Secretary experience required or equivalent office/clerical experience in a medical setting.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detail work accurately.
  • Solid communication skills required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with physicians and with other health care professionals.
  • Excellent teamwork skills required.
  • Must be able to proficiently operate applicable computer system(s).
