Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to support a dynamic team through a long-term contract assignment. This opportunity is well suited for a motivated, detail-oriented accounting specialist who brings strong energy, enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, and is eager to expand their scope over time. The position will oversee core accounting activities, deliver meaningful financial analysis, and contribute ideas that strengthen operational efficiency and reporting quality.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the month-end close process and ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Manage general ledger operations, including the review and approval of journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Analyze financial results and provide insights that support business decisions and performance tracking.
• Supervise day-to-day accounting work, offering guidance and oversight to maintain high standards across the team.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and auditors to support financial statement audit activities and resolve questions efficiently.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen controls, and increase the effectiveness of reporting processes.
• Take on additional accounting priorities as business needs evolve in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience managing full month-end close activities within an accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation practices.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and responding to audit requests with accurate documentation.
• Proven ability to perform financial analysis and interpret accounting data to highlight trends and issues.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience within general accounting functions.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
• Motivated, growth-oriented individual with the flexibility to assume broader responsibilities over time.

Compensation

$47.50-$55.00 Hourly
