Sr. Accountant
We are seeking a strong Senior Accountant to join a growing local team. This role will play a key part in accurate financial reporting, compliance, and enhancing accounting processes as the organization continues to grow. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys taking ownership, partnering cross‑functionally, and contributing to meaningful process improvements in a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP
- Lead monthly and year‑end close processes including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses
- Perform variance analysis and investigate root causes, partnering with leadership to explain results and trends
- Assist in developing and enhancing accounting policies, procedures, and documentation as the organization grows
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and responding to inquiries
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, including tax filings and regulatory reporting
- Drive process improvements to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and optimize accounting systems and workflows
Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance; CPA or progress toward certification is preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience operating at the Senior Accountant level
- Hands‑on operational accounting experience within companies in corporate environments
- Strong financial reporting expertise with the ability to analyze and interpret results to support business decision‑making
- Highly organized and analytical, with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working within modern ERP accounting systems
- Clear, concise communicator with strong written and verbal skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Compensation
$90,000.00-$115,000.00 YearlyAbout Us
