Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director
Responsibilities:
• Oversee end-to-end weekly payroll processing for approximately 800 to 1,000 employees, ensuring records are complete, accurate, and finalized on schedule.
• Administer payroll calculations for piece-rate employees and confirm earnings are processed in accordance with company practices and legal requirements.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related questions, providing responsive and thorough support to employees and internal stakeholders.
• Process final pay and separation-related payroll activities promptly and accurately for departing employees.
• Transfer and maintain employee information within payroll and HR systems, verifying that employee records are entered correctly and updated as needed.
• Handle employment verification and reference-related requests in a timely and confidential manner.
• Research payroll variances, identify root causes of discrepancies, and implement appropriate corrections.
• Prepare reports, perform data entry, and build spreadsheets to support payroll tracking, reconciliation, and audit readiness.
• Monitor adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations and help ensure payroll practices remain compliant.
• Utilize payroll platforms and related tools to support accurate payroll administration and reporting.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required.
• Prior experience working in the agricultural industry required.
• Strong payroll experience, including high-volume processing and full-cycle payroll responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively with spreadsheets and business software, with solid skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, dependability, and a customer-focused approach to employee support.
• Previous experience with payroll systems such as Pet Tiger or Famous Software is preferred.
Compensation
