Associate Attorney
Responsibilities:
• Handle business litigation matters through all phases of civil proceedings, from early case assessment through resolution or trial.
• Prepare persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal filings with careful attention to strategy and detail.
• Manage written discovery, document review, and other fact-development activities to build strong case positions.
• Represent clients in communications with opposing counsel, court appearances, depositions, mediations, and other litigation events.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues involving commercial disputes, real property matters, and construction-related claims.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on case strategy while also taking ownership of assigned matters and deadlines.
• Advise clients on litigation risks, procedural developments, and practical options for advancing their objectives.
• Support trial preparation by organizing evidence, preparing witnesses, developing arguments, and assisting with courtroom presentation.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.• Active admission to the California State Bar.
• At least 3 years of experience practicing civil litigation as a licensed attorney.
• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other substantive litigation documents.
• Hands-on experience with discovery, including written responses, document analysis, and case development.
• Familiarity with complex business litigation, with additional exposure to real property or construction defect matters preferred.
• Strong analytical reasoning, legal writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a detail-oriented manner.
Compensation
