Business Process Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Examine existing business and system workflows, identify inefficiencies, and develop improved process models that strengthen performance and consistency.
• Map future-state operations and recommend changes that better connect program needs with technology capabilities and organizational goals.
• Establish performance indicators, evaluate process gaps, and guide teams through the adoption of more effective operating methods.
• Advise leadership on business process strategy, technology utilization, and opportunities to improve service delivery across the assigned program area.
• Coordinate and prioritize process engineering efforts in alignment with project timelines, business priorities, and department-wide objectives.
• Work closely with business units, technical teams, and other stakeholders to confirm that proposed solutions support both immediate needs and long-range plans.
• Communicate process designs, dependencies, and workflow impacts clearly throughout the full project lifecycle to support understanding and execution.
• Provide direction and mentoring to less experienced staff while contributing to complex initiatives that may span multiple locations.
• Support modernization-related efforts by aligning redesigned processes with newly implemented or enhanced technology solutions.
• Report as directed during emergency or potential emergency situations as part of the role's essential staff designation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or four years of equivalent relevant experience in place of formal education where applicable.• At least seven years of information technology experience, including four years focused on process engineering and two years in project management.
• Certification in a process improvement methodology, with demonstrated ability to apply structured improvement frameworks in business environments.
• Strong background in process analysis, workflow redesign, and performance optimization within business and technical settings.
• Proven project management, planning, and prioritization skills, with the ability to support complex initiatives effectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to explain process flows and recommendations to varied audiences.
• Experience aligning business unit objectives with technology solutions through strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to guide teams and contribute to multi-site efforts.
