Sr. Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a growing organization in Iowa. This position is ideal for someone in finance who combines strong analytical thinking with advanced data skills to deliver meaningful business insights. The role partners closely with finance and operations leaders to evaluate performance, improve reporting accuracy, and support planning decisions across the business.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze monthly financial results across multiple sites and translate findings into clear performance insights for leadership.
• Research significant fluctuations in revenue, costs, and margins, then prepare explanations and recommendations for management review.
• Oversee reporting and analytics platforms, ensuring dashboards and related tools remain reliable, accurate, and useful for business users.
• Review underlying data for completeness and consistency to help identify operational trends and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Provide managers with KPI reporting, ad hoc analysis, and decision-support metrics that guide day-to-day and strategic planning.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process by assisting with forecasts, assumptions, and financial planning models.
• Work cross-functionally with finance and operations teams to assess profitability, evaluate customer pricing, and support special analytical projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, reporting, or corporate finance.
• Demonstrated ability to perform variance analysis, financial modeling, and ad hoc business analysis.
• Strong experience using Power BI or Tableau to build reports, visualize trends, and support decision-making.
• Solid understanding of data validation practices and the ability to work with large datasets accurately.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial findings to senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Compensation

$85,000.00-$95,000.00 Yearly
