Payroll Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Manage weekly payroll processing for union and non-union staff, as well as a smaller bi-weekly employee group, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
• Review employee time entries for completeness and accuracy, resolving discrepancies before payroll is finalized
• Maintain payroll-related balances and supporting records with clear documentation and proper record retention
• Oversee the timekeeping system, assist with user issues, and address clock-related problems to support accurate labor reporting
• Prepare recurring union payroll submissions and certifications, including required weekly and monthly reporting
• Monitor compliance with union agreements and fulfill reporting obligations in a timely and accurate manner
• Respond to unemployment verification requests and complete related documentation for labor or government inquiries
• Keep payroll files organized, current, and ready for audit review while supporting internal reporting needs
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of payroll administration experience, ideally supporting union payroll environments
• Proven ability to process weekly payroll accurately and efficiently
• Familiarity with union reporting practices, certifications, and related compliance requirements
• Solid understanding of payroll documentation standards and regulatory accuracy expectations
• Experience with Foundation software is a plus
• Background in construction or another highly regulated industry is an advantage
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams
Compensation
