Compliance Analyst

We are seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our technology client’s team and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and internal governance policies. This hybrid role requires one day per week on-site at the client’s Oakland office, with the remainder remote.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with technology-related regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
• Conduct audits of internal systems and processes to identify risks and ensure security best practices.
• Assist in developing and maintaining policies for data protection, cybersecurity, and ethical business conduct.
• Prepare compliance documentation for regulatory filings and client certifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and legal teams to implement compliance controls.
• Track regulatory changes in tech and data privacy laws and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Support investigations of potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, law, information systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of compliance experience in the technology sector or SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in compliance management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and passionate about maintaining compliance in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Candidates with experience in cybersecurity compliance or cloud-based platforms are encouraged to apply.
