Compliance Manager

We are partnering with a fast-growing technology to source a Privacy & Compliance Manager to support their teams on a long term contract basis. As Privacy & Compliance Manager, you will lead the development and execution of our global privacy program, ensuring compliance with Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) and other international data protection laws. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to embed privacy into our product design, operations, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the company’s privacy compliance strategy across Brazil and LATAM.
• Ensure regulatory readiness under LGPD, GDPR, CCPA, and emerging privacy laws.
• Conduct and oversee Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Manage processes for data subject rights requests, cookie compliance, and cross-border data transfers.
• Lead vendor privacy reviews and support third-party risk management.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal to assess and mitigate privacy risks.
• Maintain records of processing activities and support audit readiness.
• Develop internal privacy training and awareness programs.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on operational impact.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in privacy, compliance, or data protection roles.
• Strong understanding of LGPD, GDPR, and global privacy frameworks.
• Experience with privacy operations tools (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc).
• Certifications preferred: CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO/BR, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills across legal, technical, and business teams.
• Experience in tech, SaaS, or platform-based environments is a plus.
