Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager – Fund & Property

A private real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to join its growing team. With approximately $1B in AUM across multiple funds, the firm invests in a diverse range of real estate assets and structures, including opportunistic and value-add properties, real estate debt, and operating businesses. This role offers high visibility, direct collaboration with the CFO, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to fund and property-level financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review monthly operating reports, variance analysis, and property cash flows
• Oversee quarterly investor reporting, waterfall calculations, and fund performance metrics
• Support valuation processes and financial modeling
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and SEC compliance documentation
• Manage capital calls, distributions, and carry calculations
• Interface with fund administrators, auditors, and tax teams
• Assist with credit facility servicing and LP diligence requests

Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 3–6 years of fund accounting experience, ideally in real estate
• Strong GAAP and fair value accounting knowledge
• Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ability to learn new systems
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
