IT Systems Engineer

Overview:

Robert Half’s Infrastructure & Operations practice is proactively building a network of experienced IT Systems Engineers for upcoming client contracts across financial services, manufacturing, and healthcare sectors. We’re looking for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments where uptime, automation, and scalability are key priorities.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage day-to-day operations for Windows Server and Active Directory environments, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and backup administration.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V, as well as hybrid integrations with Azure or AWS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across servers, applications, and network dependencies.
• Participate in upgrade projects, patching cycles, and system migrations.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and DevOps teams to streamline automation and infrastructure deployment.

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For:

• 4–7 years of experience in systems engineering or administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments and virtualization technologies.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell or Bash preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
