Human Resources Manager – Tech Services, Operations & AI
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support technical services, operations, and AI-focused teams within a dynamic environment in California. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a strategic HR leader who can advise senior stakeholders, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and turn workforce insights into meaningful action. The role combines hands-on execution with trusted partnership across fast-moving business functions, helping leaders build strong teams and navigate growth, change, and evolving workforce needs.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a strategic HR partner to leaders across technical services, operations, engineering-related groups, and planning functions to align talent priorities with business goals.
• Guide managers on performance management, team effectiveness, leadership capability, and accountability to support strong operational results.
• Lead initiatives related to organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and role clarity for specialized and technical teams.
• Support the integration and adoption of AI-driven ways of working by partnering with leadership on change readiness, communication, and capability development.
• Use people data and HR metrics to identify trends, surface risks, and recommend practical actions that improve engagement, retention, and performance.
• Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, and separation processes, with sound judgment and professionalism.
• Oversee recurring HR programs such as performance review cycles, engagement initiatives, and compensation planning while ensuring a consistent employee experience.
• Maintain and enhance job architecture, leveling approaches, and compensation alignment to promote internal equity and market competitiveness.
• Contribute to HR process improvement through effective use of HRIS tools, onboarding practices, benefits coordination, and automation opportunities
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in an HR leadership role supporting technical, operational, or engineering-focused business functions.• Strong background in employee relations, including investigations, performance issues, and corrective action management.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and provide practical coaching on team performance and organizational challenges.
• Experience with organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and compensation or job leveling frameworks.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and comfort using data, reporting, and analytics to inform decisions.
• Knowledge of core HR operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, and policy implementation.
• Familiarity with automation tools or AI-enabled processes that improve HR service delivery and business effectiveness.
Compensation
