CFO - Chief Financial Officer
Responsibilities:
• Lead enterprise-level financial planning and direct the development, refinement, and oversight of a large, multifaceted budget.
• Provide executive guidance on fiscal strategy, capital planning, cash flow management, and overall financial performance.
• Oversee core finance functions, including financial reporting, month-end close activities, and budget review processes.
• Partner with senior leadership to align financial priorities with organizational goals and support informed decision-making.
• Manage and mentor key finance leaders, including the Controller, the Director of Financial Analytics, and the Risk and Treasury Manager.
• Strengthen financial controls, reporting practices, and administrative processes to support accountability and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate business systems and financial tools to improve analysis, reporting accuracy, and the effectiveness of finance operations.
• Support public sector compliance expectations and maintain sound financial practices in a government or municipal setting.
Qualifications:
• 12 to 14 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including several years in a Chief Financial Officer or similarly senior executive role.• Demonstrated background in public sector finance, with experience supporting government or municipal organizations.
• Proven success overseeing large, complex budgets, including budget development, analysis, and executive-level review.
• Strong expertise in cash flow analysis, capital management, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Experience leading senior finance professionals and operating effectively with a high degree of accountability and influence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort working across business systems and financial platforms.
• Collaborative, proactive, and emotionally intelligent leadership approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Alignment with mission-focused work and the ability to support organizational objectives through strategic financial leadership.
