Sr IT Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure enhancements across network and server environments to improve resiliency, scalability, and uptime.
• Administer and support core enterprise systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, Windows-based servers, virtual platforms, and end-user infrastructure.
• Monitor system and network health using performance and traffic analysis tools, then recommend and implement improvements to resolve capacity issues and reduce bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain security-focused processes for patching, vulnerability response, certificate administration, and access control across critical systems.
• Oversee backup, recovery, and business continuity practices, including regular testing to validate restoration readiness and failover effectiveness.
• Manage voice and communication infrastructure, including VoIP-related components and supporting services tied to business operations.
• Create automation scripts and operational tools to streamline deployment tasks, configuration management, maintenance routines, and backup activities.
• Ensure infrastructure assets and software configurations remain aligned with internal standards, compliance expectations, and operational best practices.
• Contribute to major platform upgrade or migration efforts when needed, ensuring minimal disruption and strong coordination across stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in systems and network engineering, including at least 2 years serving in a lead, architectural, or senior technical capacity.• Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, routing technologies, firewall design, and modern security models such as zero-trust principles.
• Strong experience with hyper-converged and traditional infrastructure platforms, including technologies such as Nutanix, VMware, VxRail, or vSAN environments.
• Proven hands-on expertise with VMware, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Windows 10 administration.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for systems management and operational efficiency.
• Working knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies, certificate management, and infrastructure security administration.
• Familiarity with enterprise hardware and platform technologies such as Dell and Citrix solutions.
• Ability to communicate technical strategies clearly, translate infrastructure plans into actionable work, and earn required role-related certifications within established timeframes.
