Leaves Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Monitor leave-related reports from external partners to identify new employee leave activity and take appropriate follow-up action.
• Guide employees through leave procedures by answering questions, explaining next steps, and providing dependable day-to-day administrative support.
• Contact employees with approved leave requests to obtain medical certifications, release forms, and other required documentation within expected timelines.
• Review available sick leave and vacation balances with employees and document their choices regarding the use of accrued paid time off while away from work.
• Record leave status updates and paid time entries accurately in the timekeeping system to ensure payroll-related information remains current.
• Maintain consistent outreach with employees who have not responded, documenting communication efforts and organizing supporting records thoroughly.
• Request return-to-work documentation in advance of scheduled return dates and help prepare for a smooth transition back to work.
• Support related timekeeping administration tasks, including data entry, record maintenance, and coordination with the broader leave support team.
• Provide high-quality employee assistance throughout the leave process and escalate complex policy or compliance questions to specialized leave resources when needed.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in HR coordination, leave administration, or a related human resources support role.
• Working knowledge of employee leave processes, documentation tracking, and timekeeping administration.
• Experience using HRIS platforms and timekeeping software to enter, update, and maintain employee records accurately.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow up professionally and support employees with clarity and empathy.
• Detail-oriented approach to handling confidential information, recordkeeping, and compliance-related documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing or operations-driven environment.
• Familiarity with HR administration activities such as onboarding, employee support, background checks, or related coordination tasks.
• Proficiency in maintaining organized documentation and delivering reliable customer service throughout employee interactions.
