Payroll Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations for a detail-oriented services organization in Boston, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position focuses on delivering accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with payroll policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with full-cycle payroll, garnishment administration, and payroll systems such as UKG Pro.

Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of approximately 1500 employees with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.

• Review payroll data, validate employee earnings and deductions, and resolve discrepancies before each payroll run is finalized.

• Administer payroll-related withholdings, including garnishments and other required deductions, in accordance with applicable guidelines.

• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation to ensure organized, compliant, and audit-ready files.

• Respond to employee and internal payroll inquiries by researching issues and providing clear, timely resolutions.

• Utilize UKG Pro to enter, update, and manage payroll information, ensuring data integrity across payroll activities.

• Coordinate with finance, human resources, and other stakeholders to support smooth payroll processing and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience processing payroll in a detail-oriented business environment.
• Practical knowledge of full-cycle payroll administration from data entry through final payroll completion.
• Experience handling payroll for employee populations ranging from 101 to 500 employees.
• Familiarity with garnishments, deductions, and related payroll compliance requirements.
• Proficiency using payroll software, including experience with UKG Pro.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
• Effective organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet recurring deadlines.

Compensation

$25.00-$30.00 Hourly
