Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to support a manufacturing operation through hands-on leadership of day-to-day accounting activities. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate who can bring structure, accuracy, and strong financial oversight across payables, receivables, and ledger management. The role will partner with internal teams to keep transactions current, maintain reliable records, and contribute to audit readiness and reporting discipline.

Responsibilities:
• Direct daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
• Review and record incoming cash activity promptly, confirming that receipts are applied correctly and reflected in financial records without delay.
• Oversee invoice processing by validating supporting details, coordinating with cross-functional partners, and ensuring vendor payments move through the approval cycle efficiently.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules needed for an accurate month-end close.
• Support internal and external audit activities by organizing documentation, responding to requests, and helping resolve accounting questions.
• Develop, update, and maintain accounting procedures that promote consistency, compliance, and strong internal controls.
• Perform accruals, analyze account activity, and investigate variances to improve the reliability of financial reporting.
• Use SAP, Excel, and related systems to monitor transactions, produce reports, and assist with ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with payroll and finance stakeholders to help ensure accurate recording of payroll-related entries and other recurring financial activity.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including responsibility for general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Proven background managing or overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes in a business environment.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and preparing documentation for internal or external review.
• Strong working knowledge of journal entries, accrual accounting, and account reconciliation practices.
• Proficiency with SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis, reporting, and transaction review.
• Familiarity with payroll-related accounting activities, including exposure to ADP or similar payroll systems.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple departments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

Compensation

$40.00-$48.00 Hourly
