Benefits Coordinator

We are looking for a Benefits Coordinator to support day-to-day benefits operations for a long-term contract opportunity based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position focuses on delivering accurate employee benefits support, resolving coverage-related questions, and helping maintain efficient administration across leave, COBRA, and related programs. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in benefits coordination and a strong understanding of compensation and benefits processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Administer employee benefit programs by coordinating enrollments, updates, and ongoing coverage changes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as a point of contact for benefits-related inquiries, providing clear guidance on plan options, eligibility, and employee participation.
• Manage COBRA processes, including notifications, documentation, and coordination of continuation coverage activities.
• Support leave of absence administration by tracking cases, maintaining records, and communicating with employees and relevant partners.
• Review benefits data and reports to identify discrepancies, support audits, and help ensure compliance with plan requirements.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve benefits issues and maintain smooth program administration.
• Assist with compensation and benefits coordination by maintaining records and supporting related administrative processes.
• Prepare and organize benefits documentation, communications, and status updates to promote consistent and effective operations.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, benefits coordination, or a closely related human resources support role.
• Practical knowledge of employee benefit functions, including enrollment, eligibility, and plan administration activities.
• Experience handling COBRA administration and supporting leave of absence processes.
• Familiarity with compensation and benefits practices, reporting, and documentation standards.
• Ability to analyze benefits information, identify issues, and follow through on resolutions with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain benefits information clearly and professionally.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
