Payroll Administrator
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada on a Contract basis. This role will take ownership of payroll operations for a workforce of approximately 200 employees while providing dependable support in a fast-moving environment. The ideal payroll administrator brings strong payroll expertise, works confidently with minimal oversight, and maintains precision when priorities shift. Prior experience with implementations, ADP and UKG is required. The payroll Administrator will work onsite 5 days a week.
Responsibilities for the Payroll Administrator:
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state employee population of roughly 200 team members, ensuring timely and accurate pay each cycle.
• Serve as the primary payroll contact, handling daily payroll activities independently and providing consistent support to internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to payroll system implementation efforts by reviewing data, validating records, and helping confirm accuracy throughout setup and testing.
• Execute and reconcile parallel payroll runs to compare outputs, identify discrepancies, and support a smooth cutover to the new platform.
• Investigate payroll issues as they arise, resolve errors efficiently, and escalate complex concerns when needed.
• Administer payroll components such as garnishments, deductions, and compliance-related updates in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Partner closely with finance and human resources leadership to maintain payroll continuity and address operational needs during the engagement.
• Document findings, track corrections, and help strengthen payroll processes during the transition period.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll administration.
• Proven ability to process payroll for employee populations in the 150–200 range or larger.
• Experience handling multi-state payroll with a strong understanding of payroll laws and compliance requirements.
• Background supporting payroll system implementations, conversions, or platform changes.
• Proficiency with UKG Ready is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of weekly payroll processing, garnishments, and payroll record validation.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
Compensation
