Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a Contract (1-2 months in length) basis in Canonsburg/Washington area in PA. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can step in quickly to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and help keep reconciliations current. The role offers a strong chance to contribute immediately in a hands-on environment, with potential for longer-term consideration based on business needs and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile bank accounts and company credit card activity to ensure financial records are complete and accurate.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support monthly accounting activity and maintain the general ledger.

• Review account balances regularly and investigate variances to improve reporting accuracy.

• Help maintain organized bookkeeping records and ensure transactions are entered in a timely manner.

• Contribute to indirect tax support activities, including sales tax filing preparation when needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in bookkeeping or a closely related accounting support role.
• Strong background in bank and account reconciliations, including credit card reconciliation work.
• Ability to prepare accurate journal entries and maintain detailed financial records.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience using accounting software in a detail-focused environment.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a contract assignment.

Compensation

$26.00-$32.00 Hourly
