Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join a growing manufacturing organization and serve as the primary resource for enterprise data management, reporting, and business systems optimization. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure data accuracy, system effectiveness, and business process efficiency.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will own the organization's data environment, provide actionable business insights, support ERP administration, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple departments.

This position offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact by improving data quality, streamlining processes, and helping business leaders make informed decisions through accurate reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Data & Reporting

• Serve as the primary owner of SQL reporting, data extraction, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Support ETL processes and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Analyze business data and provide recommendations to improve operational performance.
• Identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvements through data analysis.

ERP & Business Systems Administration

• Manage day-to-day administration and support of ERP and related business systems.
• Maintain system data, product information, pricing structures, and business rules.
• Ensure business systems accurately reflect operational and financial changes.
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with external vendors and support partners.
• Document system configurations, workflows, and procedures.

Process Improvement & Optimization

• Evaluate current workflows and identify opportunities to reduce manual processes.
• Partner with business leaders to improve system utilization and operational efficiency.
• Lead initiatives focused on data quality, process automation, and reporting enhancements.
• Recommend best practices for leveraging data and technology to support business growth.

Project Management & Collaboration

• Lead system upgrades, enhancements, and implementation projects.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
• Coordinate testing, user acceptance, and deployment activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business system-related questions and support.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and external technology partners.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Required Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, ERP Administration, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related role.
• Strong hands-on SQL experience, including reporting, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to support and optimize ERP systems.
• Experience gathering business requirements and implementing process improvements.
• Strong understanding of business operations and financial data.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or multi-site environment.
• Experience supporting Sage 500 or similar ERP platforms.
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
• Exposure to business intelligence and reporting tools.
• Experience managing system enhancement or implementation projects.
