Corporate Accountant
We are looking for a Corporate Accountant to join a growing real estate property and facilities management organization in Nashville, Tennessee. This role offers broad involvement across financial reporting, core accounting operations, and process enhancement efforts, making it well suited for someone who enjoys focused work and cross-functional collaboration. The position will support accurate reporting, strengthen financial controls, and provide insight that helps leadership make informed business decisions for the corporate side of the business.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycle, ensuring financial records are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and other reporting materials for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate day-to-day accounting activity across payables, receivables, payroll, and cash management to maintain smooth financial operations.
• Perform journal entries, general ledger maintenance, trial balance review, and bank reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP standards.
• Help develop and maintain internal control procedures that protect financial data and support reliable reporting across business units.
• Contribute to budgeting, cash forecasting, and financial planning activities by analyzing trends and identifying meaningful variances.
• Partner with colleagues across departments to respond to reporting needs, improve workflows, and support company initiatives.
• Assist with audit preparation, compliance requirements, and special projects that enhance accounting processes and operational scalability.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-sized, multi-entity, or corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, trial balance preparation, and financial statement development.
• Working understanding of GAAP and US GAAP principles with the ability to apply them in daily accounting activities.
• Experience supporting or overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash forecasting functions.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliations, financial analysis, and maintaining accurate accounting records under tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with clear communication skills across teams.
Compensation
