Senior Staff Accountant

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role will be responsible for core general accounting functions, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and process consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and reconcile bank statements and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
• Manage fixed assets and capital accounting, including depreciation schedules
• Record and post payroll journal entries
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements
• Perform general ledger maintenance and month-end close activities

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a full-cycle or general ledger environment
• Experience with fixed assets and depreciation accounting
• Experience with Bassetts (SP) fixed asset software preferred
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
