Staff Accountant

We are a well-established and growing manufacturing company based in Ontario, CA. With a strong commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement, we are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role offers visibility to leadership, hands-on exposure to manufacturing accounting, and long-term growth potential.

The Staff Accountant will support the month-end close process, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment and understands cost accounting, inventory reconciliations, and GAAP compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, inventory, fixed assets)
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
• Reconcile inventory and support cost accounting functions
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
• Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and system efficiencies

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

2–5+ years of accounting experience

Manufacturing or cost accounting experience strongly preferred

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar)

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
