Overview
Position Summary
This position is composed of clinical and administrative duties, and coordinates CPS's Postgraduate Psychology Fellowship Program. The position provides direct clinical services to our undergraduate and graduate student population, including urgent care and crisis intervention, psychological evaluations, time-limited individual and group psychotherapeutic treatment, on call services, campus liaison, mental health education, and community referral services. The position also focuses on the coordination of CPS' Fellowship Program, which currently includes full-time three postgraduate fellows. This position is responsible for maintaining and developing all aspects of the program, including recruitment, clinical supervision, education, and mentoring functions.
Responsibilities
Position Duties and Responsibilities
65% Clinical Care ·
Provides urgent care and crisis intervention, psychological evaluations, and time-limited individual and group psychotherapeutic treatment. · Serves on an on call-after hours rotation with other CPS clinicians. · Performs specialized evaluations for students of concern: these include administrative, readmission, exit, and post-hospital evaluations. · Uses clinical data to inform diagnostic assessments (DSM-V) and treatment planning. · Participates in select UHS multidisciplinary treatment teams.
25% Training & Professional Development ·
Develops, designs and implements a curriculum for the Fellowship training seminar, involving both the review of clinical material as well as journal articles and related scholarship. · Designs and implements a system for evaluating the progress of Fellows and for continually improving training program elements. · Translates a high level of computer literacy to the capacity training others in the use of electronic health records. · Collaborates, consults with, and coordinates regular meetings with other CPS supervisors to determine training needs, supervisory assignments, and progress evaluations and reports. · Explores program expansion and the advantages and disadvantages of program accreditation (e.g., Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers) as appropriate. · Serves as a professional mentor to Postdoctoral fellows. · Engages in campus outreach and community education related to mental health issues. · Serves as a mental health consultant to other University partners and stakeholders, and a community referral resource for students.
10% Administrative Management ·
Oversees all aspects of the Postgraduate Fellowship Program, which at presents has three Fellowship lines (3.0 FTE). · Assures that the Fellowship Program adheres to the ethical codes of the American Psychological Association, and the New Jersey Board of Psychological Examiners. · Supervises all Postdoctoral fellows. · Instates an appropriate grievance procedure for participants in the Fellowship Program · Manages the recruitment cycle, in collaboration with Human Resources. · Participates in select UHS, Campus Life, and University committees, as assigned by the Director. · Develops and modifies policies and guidelines related to the Fellowship program. · Participates in other initiatives, projects, and activities, as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
· Doctorate in clinical psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA)-approved doctoral program.
· Completion of APA-approved clinical internship
· New Jersey State licensure (for at least 2 years)
· A minimum of five years of post-doctoral supervisory experience is required.
· Demonstrated excellence in the provision of clinical supervision to mental health professionals and substantial contributions to the administration of a training program.
· Advanced understanding of the full range of developmental and mental health challenges affecting late adolescents and young adults.
· Mastery of multiple models of brief integrative and psychodynamic psychotherapies, and evidence-based mental health care
· Evidence of experience in working with severely troubled patients and/or on a psychiatric inpatient unit, or the functional equivalent
· Demonstrated excellence in managing psychological emergencies during office hours and after-hours.
· Evidence of effective collaborations with a diverse group of mental health clinicians, as well as productive collaborations with multiple stakeholders
· Evidence of the provision of culturally informed mental health care, and attunement to the manifestations of psychological problems across different cultural backgrounds, identity configurations, and genders
· Knowledge of New Jersey's psychology licensure standards and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FERPA) pertaining to health care organizations (including clinical records, patient privacy and confidentiality, treatment of minors) as well as relevant accreditation standards (e.g., Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care)
· Be knowledgeable in principles and methodologies (e.g., Plan-Do-Study-Act, Root Cause Analysis, measurement, data collection, and analysis) needed to support and lead Quality Improvement projects and activities and/or willing to attend UHS-based Quality Improvement basic training within first 6-months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications
· Advanced degree in a relevant field at the masters level in public health, sociology, neuroscience, social work, healthcare administration.
· Advanced degree in related fields at the doctoral level in public health, medicine, law, as well as behavioral and neurosciences.
· Board certification in psychology (e.g., American Board of Professional Psychology)
· Experience working in a university mental health service or a comparable healthcare system.
· Experience coordinating a psychology training program in a college mental health setting.
· Evidence of professional contributions (such as presentations at professional and academic conferences, publications, and/or form of scholarship), and experience in writing and success in securing grant-related funding.
· Thrives in an energetic, diverse work environment, and skilled at effective interactions with college-age populations, international students, parents, faculty, and college administrators.
· Familiarity with total work systems (such as the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, and Baldrige National Quality Program); and reviewing and analyzing data.
· Training in health equity and other diversity and inclusion topics.
