Payroll Specialist

This role will report to the payroll director and is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll.

• Ensures accurate payroll deductions for employee contributions, including insurance and garnishments.
• Assists with processing year-end information, including W-2s.
• Supports accurate processing, reconciliation, and recordkeeping of multi-state payroll.
• Resolves payroll issues and discrepancies as they arise.
• Assists in training new field and internal employees and provides ongoing support as needed.
• Helps maintain payroll systems and ensures accurate user training and operational procedures.
• Works with cross-functional teams and outside vendors to support process improvements and new initiatives.
• Ensure excellent customer service for team members and external parties in relation to payroll matters.
• Investigates and resolves discrepancies in payroll information in a timely manner.
• Performs analysis, generates reports, and assists the HR and finance teams with special projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned in a professional matter.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s preferred.
• Solid understanding of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal counts, and payroll taxes.
• Two years’ experience in payroll, preferably in the health care field.
• Experience working in a multi-state payroll environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes at federal, state, and local levels.
• Experience with ADP, Paycom, or UKG is a plus.

Compensation

$80,000.00-$90,000.00 Yearly
