Payroll/HR Generalist
Responsibilities:
• Process biweekly payroll for employees across multiple U.S. states and Canadian jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to applicable regulations.
• Maintain employee records in HR systems, update payroll and personnel data, and help ensure documentation remains complete and current.
• Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including required paperwork, system setup, and communication of key employment information.
• Support benefits administration by assisting with enrollments, changes, employee questions, and related documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address employee relations and HR administration matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Help monitor compliance with payroll, tax, wage, hour, and employment requirements by preparing records and supporting audits or reporting needs.
• Assist with HRIS activities, including data entry, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting discrepancies affecting payroll or employee information.
• Contribute to process improvements and support operational changes, including updates tied to HR or payroll system transitions when needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience managing biweekly payroll in a multi-state environment, preferably including both U.S. and Canadian payroll processing.• Working knowledge of human resources administration, including onboarding, benefits support, and employee records management.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate data across payroll and HR systems.
• Understanding of payroll compliance requirements, employment regulations, and confidentiality standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle time-sensitive work accurately and consistently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support employees and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Background in employee relations or general HR support within a fast-paced business environment.
Compensation
