Staff Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and review journal entries as part of month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Oversee inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate valuation and cost tracking.
• Manage multi-state sales tax reporting and compliance to meet regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Utilize NetSuite for managing financial data and supporting accounting workflows.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide accounting insights and support operational objectives.
• Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in general ledger maintenance and reconciliation.• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries for month-end and year-end closings.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with multi-state sales tax reporting and compliance.
• Familiarity with corporate tax return preparation and filing processes.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills for conducting financial analyses and identifying trends.
• Thorough understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
Compensation
